MIT Energy & Climate Hack
Nov 15–Nov 17, 2024
About
2024 marks the 10th year of the MIT Energy & Climate Hack! The Hack, organized by the MIT Energy & Climate Club, brings opportunities for learning, problem solving, and networking to the forefront as student teams develop rapid, innovative solutions to problems that real enterprises and society at large face today.
Over 250 students are gathered from universities across the globe to hack climate-centered challenge statements formulated by sponsoring companies, startups, investment firms, and academic initiatives over the course of one weekend. The various challenges warrant diverse solutions including: software prototypes, hardware prototypes, predictive models, policy frameworks, optimized process designs and more. It’s an event that drives climate action, not just discussion.
This year, the Hack will take place November 15th to 17th and will offer students the opportunity to create solutions for challenges across Renewable Energy, Transportation & Mobility, Land & Agriculture, and Circularity for the chance to win up to $1,000 per person. To participate, apply by October 18th.
