MIT MAD was invited to the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Carlo Ratti, along with other participants from the MIT community.
In partnership with ETH Zurich and MIT entities such as the Digital Structures research group and MITdesignX, as well as other collaborators, MAD presented VAMO—Vegetal, Animal, Mineral, Other. VAMO is a lightweight, regenerative installation that explores alternatives to architectural permanence by showcasing a range of upcycled materials.
Access the list of MIT community projects (faculty, students, alumni) in the map below. Make sure to zoom in and out to view all three locations: the Arsenale, the Giardini, and the Palazzo Diedo (featuring a parallel exhibition in partnership with the Berggruen Institute).
