Bio

Fabiola R. Decius is a high school theater teacher as well as a playwright. Her work has been produced and developed within the Greater Boston area and beyond. Most recently, in 2025, Decius was commissioned to write a play, SENIOR YEAR PROJECT, as part of Lyric Backstage, which is an educational program that provides an introduction to jobs and potential backstage career paths in the performing arts such as lighting, sound, props, and costuming. She is the founder of Teens WRITE (Writing, Reading, and Investigating Theater Everywhere), which is a program for teenagers to write, revise, cast, direct, and produce original plays culminating in a Ten-Minute Play Festival. Fabiola graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a Bachelor of Arts and received a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Lesley University in Stage and Screen Writing.
