Justin Brazier
Architect, Environmentalist
Justin Brazier is a Haitian-American designer and aspiring architect based in Boston. His projects range from affordable housing to urban agricultural gardens. His main interests are in sustainable architecture, housing, food security, and cultural spaces for historically underrepresented and underserved communities.
Justin completed a Master of Architecture at MIT in 2024. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architectural Design from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2018 where he was awarded the Academic and Community Leadership Award by the Department of Architecture. Before attending MIT, Justin worked as an architectural designer with Munich-based Leupold Brown Goldbach Architects and with Bruner/Cott Architects in Boston. He was a Summer Fellow at the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics in Boston under former Mayor Martin Walsh.
Justin serves as co-chair of the MIT chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS). He holds a multiyear internship position at Kennedy & Violich Architecture, serves as an advisory board member for the nonprofit organization Handshouse Studio, and is a core member of the Boston-based urban agriculture group, Farmers Collaborative. He also continues to develop his own design practice.
